You are the next generation of persons that will lead our lives to victory. This is not just a sum of money to help towards school; this is a foundation that you have set within yourself and believed that your life can have a successful tomorrow. My blessings have come to provide this moment for you. Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Dr. Edmond and Felicia Kelly ‘Heroes of Tomorrow’ scholarship fund?

The Heroes of Tomorrow scholarship fund is a financial award for a Black and Brown student to further assist their private education and is not required to be repaid. The scholarship was privately funded by donations of God’s people and His blessings. These scholarships are intended to add a basis of financial support to assist our diversity and families in need.

How do I receive my scholarship funds?

The award will be presented to the student and families during a ceremony. Any awarded scholarship is paid directly and allocated towards that student’s tuition.

Can I continue to receive any scholarships if I am no longer a student at a Christian school or HBCU?

No. You must be a student at a private institution or HBCU to receive the scholarship.

Is there an application fee for any of the scholarships?

No. We do ask that you reinvest into the scholarship fund with $50.00 or more to help continue the legacy of the Heroes of Tomorrow Scholarship fund.

Once the scholarship is awarded to the recipient, is the scholarship continuous over the number of years the student attends a Private institution, or is it awarded only once per school year?

The scholarship is not continuous over the number of years the recipient attends a Private institution or HBCU. This is based on a one time award in conjunction with the current school year. Any recipient or student that is seeking this scholarship must apply every year. For the school year, there will be four scholarships that will be given out. Two 500.00 awards(One middle school and one high school), Two 100.00 awards(One middle school and one high school).

Will there be a ceremony honoring the recipients?

Dr. Edmond and Felicia Kelly will host a small gathering honoring the student and family. Ceremony to be determined at a later date.

Will the other scholarships that I applied for hinder receiving the Heroes of Tomorrow Scholarship fund?

No. It is encouraged for students to apply for as many scholarships as possible. If a student decides to apply to every possible scholarship available and succeed, then good for them. That student put in the work to have their own tuition lowered.

Are donations towards the scholarship fund tax-deductible?

Yes! Heroes of Tomorrow is a 501(c)3. All donations are tax deductible and donors will be able to receive a tax-deductible receipt shortly after donations are given.
